Fearless in Data is a female-dominated event featuring data scientists, analysts, and scholars in a variety of industries. Chairperson Charlotte Mason of the University of Georgia will kick off the day with some opening remarks before giving way to a lineup of data experts.

Morning

Sandra Nudelman, Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Chase Bank, will share her journey towards becoming a Chief Data & Analytics Officer and how she became a pioneer and visionary in the banking industry along the way. Meghan Anzelc of Spencer Stuart and Jennifer Rueter of SunTrust will discuss the new paradigm of acquiring and fostering talent in the data science industry and how to overcome challenges by leveraging a cultural shift. Then, learn how design-first thinking empowers data scientists (something we at Scaled Inference agree is the key to success in data science) in a supercharged session with Tiffany Perkins-Munn, Ph.D entitled “Data: The Superpower in Design Thinking.” Be sure to grab a cup of coffee with us during the break and fuel up to learn more insights into the world of data science. The morning will continue with an empowering talk by Serena Sacks of Fulton County Schools on how initiatives for girls today will inspire the data scientists of tomorrow. When marketers hear “AI” their thoughts may turn to technology, but the driving forces behind AI are data and modeling. Next, Stacey Hawes of Epsilon will explore “The Marriage of Data and Modeling With Artificial Intelligence.” Afterward, join Vrajesh Bhavsar for an interactive discussion about Optimizing Conversions with Learned Segments and discover how and why design fuels growth. Participate in the Q&A in this fun interactive session to receive a coffee gift card compliments of Scaled Inference.

Following the morning sessions, enjoy lunch and come by the Scaled Inference booth to enter into a raffle to win a trip to San Francisco! While you are there, pick up your limited edition Journey T-shirt and learn how Amp.ai utilizes Reinforcement Learning to enable your ideas and drive growth in your KPIs.

Afternoon

The afternoon will dive into more case studies, and eye-opening takeaways as Missy Young of Switch tackles the challenges of “Sustaining Our Physical World in a Digital Age.” Looking to scale your business and create an impact? Discover how, and the hidden stories your data is waiting to tell with Titabia Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer at Bark. Learn how you can avoid and rid of bias in your projects in a case study presentation by Kesha Williams, who will unleash the secrets of building AI without bias. Storytelling with Analytics is an art; we look forward to hearing how Elizabeth Chabot of Scale Factor, Jane Li of Cox Communications, and Mackenzie Miller of Ibotta use data to paint a picture and transform businesses through a shared clear purpose. Interested in empowering your business to use data efficiently and responsibly? Join Rachel Riley as she shares the do’s and don'ts of building relationships to drive data intelligence. Ginny Too of Comcast will round out the afternoon in a thought-provoking session on Change Management: Infusing Data Science into Decision and Products (we love a good journey story!).
